Rustic Ravines is located amid a pristine eco system and an abundance of wildlife that includes a significant number of bird species rarely seen in the city. We have turkey, orioles, bluebirds (two species), blue jays, bald eagles, a variety of hawks, turkey buzzards and ravens, and more common birds such as robins, finches and sparrows — just to name a few. Rustic Ravines is a great place to go bird watching. Rent a cabin, sit out on the back deck in the Jacuzzi with a pair of binoculars, and you’re all set.

And Rustic Ravines’ skies are full every clear night with all the beautiful and majestic and wondrous star formations that the Milky Way can offer. That includes The Great Rift, visible with the naked eye across the night sky. There are no city lights to obstruct your stargazing view here. Lay down on a blanket and stare into the heavens and you will not believe your eyes.
