Rustic Ravines highlighted in WCHS-TV story on ATV trails

This will be Joe Boffo's fourth summer as an owner of Rustic Ravines, a cabin resort in Genoa that tailors to ATV riders.
He said the ATV tourism boom in Wayne County is just getting started.
“This is really adding a boost to our business," Boffo said. "We were already doing well organically, but this just maxed us out."

RUSTIC RAVINES FEATURED AS PART OF W.VA. TOURISM CORRIDOR
Rustic Ravines and co-owner Joe Boffo were featured in a story on an expanding recreation corridor in Southern West Virginia recently posted on the Huntington Area Development Council website. The piece highlighted plans for the Appalachian Heartland Highway (AHH) planned along West Virginia Rt. 152. Earlier this year, a federally funded planning initiative was completed to establish and enhance recreational assets along the corridor and drive tourism into Southern West Virginia.

RUSTIC RAVINES AWARDED $250,000 STATE GRANT TO EXPAND GROUNDS
Rustic Ravines made statewide news throughout West Virginia in early June 2020 by earning a $250,000 grant from the state Department of Environmental Protection’s Office of Abandoned Mine Lands. Rustic Ravines’ grant was among $27 million in awards funding trails, campgrounds and other projects on former mine sites throughout the state, according to a story in the Charleston Gazette. The funds were raised through fees on coal sales by active mine operations.
