GENOA, W.Va. — Curious minds countywide crowded on top of Hampton Ridge Saturday (Sept. 23) to check out new outdoor getaway Rustic Ravines.

The open house, estimated to have attracted between 3,000 and 4,000 guests — kicked off at noon and was still going close to 12 hours later.

Free food, multiple live bands and the opportunity to tour the grounds were highlights of the community party for those who ventured out.

“This is a really nice place,” Delegate Robert Thompson said. “This is a great addition to have here in Wayne County.”

Owner Joe Boffo said the event was a huge success.

“We were rocking the Ravines all day long,” he said. “There was a fantastic turnout, and our property was able to sustain the crowd."

Boffo said the amount of people crowded onto the property was a great test.
